As the only nation in <strong>South East Asia<\/strong> that has never been colonized by any Western power, the people seem to struggle conversing in any other language but their own. Either they had increased the ticket price or I had grown broke over the years I had no idea but I don&#8217;t remember being taken aback by the admission fee back then as much as I did when I returned again this time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/P1110047.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-2732\" style=\"border: 3px solid gray; margin-top: 3px; margin-bottom: 3px;\" title=\"Ulai and KJH holding tickets to grand palace\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/P1110047.jpg\" width=\"497\" height=\"331\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/P1110047.jpg 552w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/P1110047-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 497px) 100vw, 497px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But at <strong>350 Baht<\/strong>, you\u2019d get to see more than what you might have expected. The Grand Palace is such a dazzling place you might want to put your sun glasses on at all time. I did it back then and I did it again this time. With all the wow things that it had to offer to us, we didn\u2019t realize how hungry we were until we made it through the exit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/P1110219.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-2740\" style=\"border: 3px solid gray; margin-top: 3px; margin-bottom: 3px;\" title=\"Lunch at Grand Palace\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/P1110219.jpg\" width=\"497\" height=\"331\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/P1110219.jpg 552w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/P1110219-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 497px) 100vw, 497px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After having lunch at one of the food stalls at the riverside market, we walked over to another major attraction which was located just within a walking distance from the Grand Palace.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/P1110317.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-2741\" style=\"border: 3px solid gray; margin-top: 3px; margin-bottom: 3px;\" title=\"Wat Pho Ticket Booth\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/P1110317.jpg\" width=\"495\" height=\"329\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/P1110317.jpg 688w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/P1110317-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 495px) 100vw, 495px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Wat Pho<\/strong> seemed to be undergoing some major restoration work when we were there but of course Bangkok couldn\u2019t afford to close it to its visitors, not when it is one of the most visited temples in Thailand.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/P1110242.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-2742\" style=\"border: 3px solid gray; margin-top: 3px; margin-bottom: 3px;\" title=\"Wat Pho under renovation\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/P1110242.jpg\" width=\"495\" height=\"279\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/P1110242.jpg 688w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/P1110242-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 495px) 100vw, 495px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The beautiful stupas that stand tall and pointing straight to the sky make Wat Pho such a perfect place to get playful with your camera. With an official name of <strong>Wat Phra Chettuphon Wimon Mangkhalaram Ratchaworamahawihan <\/strong>(forget about trying to pronounce it, you\u2019ll never get it right. Just on the other side of the river is <strong>Wat Arun<\/strong> \u2013 the temple that I instantly declared my personal favorite when I first visited Bangkok three years ago.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/P1110345.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-2746\" style=\"border: 3px solid gray; margin-top: 3px; margin-bottom: 3px;\" title=\"Wat Arun seen from ferry\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/P1110345.jpg\" width=\"495\" height=\"329\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/P1110345.jpg 688w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/P1110345-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 495px) 100vw, 495px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The temple itself is actually quite simple so there\u2019s no way I can declare it the<em> \u2018fairest of \u2018em all\u2019 <\/em>when there are so many beautiful temples with spectacular (and mostly dazzling) architectures all over Bangkok.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/P1110368.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-2748\" style=\"border: 3px solid gray; margin-top: 3px; margin-bottom: 3px;\" title=\"Siloutte of Wat Arun\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/P1110368.jpg\" width=\"495\" height=\"329\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/P1110368.jpg 688w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/P1110368-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 495px) 100vw, 495px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">And yet there\u2019s something about it that makes it stand out so prominently at least in my eyes.
