It doesn\u2019t feel good to leave it hanging just like that when there are still so many things to tell about this wonderful city.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">My last post on India had been about my trip to <a title=\"Visiting The Lotus Temple\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/?p=2558\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>The Lotus Temple<\/strong><\/a> and it was good to finally see something of highly modern and futuristic architecture in New Delhi.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1060900.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2791\" title=\"The Lotus Temple\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1060900.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"440\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1060900.jpg 688w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1060900-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px\" \/><\/a>It was just our first destination of the day and we had at least a few more places to visit all bundled up in the 800 rupees as agreed upon by the Tuk Tuk driver. Our next destination would be a <strong>UNESCO World Heritage Site<\/strong> so you know how the excitement is always there for me whenever I\u2019m heading to a place with such a high reputation.<!--more--><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/P1060922.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2578\" title=\"towards Humayun Tomb from Lotus Temple\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/P1060922.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"293\" height=\"440\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/P1060922.jpg 458w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/P1060922-199x300.jpg 199w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 293px) 100vw, 293px\" \/><\/a>Whenever you\u2019re traveling in India, you have to bear in mind before all that most <em>if not all<\/em> of the Tuk Tuk drivers think that all tourists are stupid and they have the smarter asses. The driver took us this stupid building in the middle of a roundabout and declared it The Humayun\u2019s Tomb.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P10609231.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2794\" title=\"Humayun Tomb? Roundabout\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P10609231.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"440\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P10609231.jpg 688w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P10609231-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px\" \/><\/a>But then again, the smart travelers would do some research before traveling while the stupid ones would just pack their bags up and think that they knew everything (ouch!). I would have simply fallen into the net if not for my travel buddy Audrey who then gave the Tuk Tuk driver one of her smirking looks and said <em>\u2018NO. It is not (the Humayun\u2019s Tomb).<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Thinking that he could never win over the highly knowledgeable Audrey, he drove us off to the Humayun\u2019s Tomb \u2013 this time the real one.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1060949.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2795\" title=\"The Real Humayun's Tomb\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1060949.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"440\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1060949.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1060949-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px\" \/><\/a><strong>HUMAYUN&#8217;S TOMB<\/strong> is another one of quite a number of notable structures that India has inherited from the Munghal&#8217;s tomb extravagance in the past. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1060953.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2838\" title=\"Humayun's Tomb Enscription\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1060953.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"293\" height=\"440\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1060953.jpg 458w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1060953-199x300.jpg 199w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 293px) 100vw, 293px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If <a title=\"The Day I Visited The Taj Mahal\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/?p=1776\" target=\"_blank\">Taj Mahal<\/a> was built by the king to be the resting place for her wife, Humayun\u2019s Tomb was quite the opposite where the wife commissioned the construction of it as a resting place for the already DEAD king. Of course it was then become her resting place too, together with numerous other subsequent Munghals.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1060963.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2836\" title=\"Main Entrance to Humayun's Tomb\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1060963.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"293\" height=\"440\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1060963.jpg 458w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1060963-199x300.jpg 199w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 293px) 100vw, 293px\" \/><\/a>The very first thing that I noticed when I first arrived there is the redness of the whole complex. It reminded me very much of the entrance gate and the mosques that flanked the Taj Mahal on both sides.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1060974.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2796\" title=\"The Humayun's tomb 1\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1060974.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"440\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1060974.jpg 688w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1060974-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px\" \/><\/a>The architecture is highly Islamic with a large dome in the middle you might think it is a mosque when you first see it. The building itself looks a lot like Taj Mahal and so is the story that it bears. I wouldn\u2019t say I was wowed by The Humayun\u2019s Tomb more than I was by the Taj Mahal but just by thinking that there are at least 160 bodies of royal family members laid buried under those red stones kinda sparked goosebumps all over me.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070011.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2799\" title=\"The tombs at the humayun's tomb\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070011.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"440\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070011.jpg 688w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070011-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px\" \/><\/a>The windows were set in a way that allows natural lighting and air circulation work on their own. It\u2019s\u00a0 amazing how it was cool inside the monument despite the fierce sun on the outside.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070002.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2798\" title=\"The main interior of humayun's tomb\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070002.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"412\" height=\"619\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070002.jpg 458w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070002-199x300.jpg 199w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 412px) 100vw, 412px\" \/><\/a>Next in our list was the <strong>Lodi Park<\/strong>. Bear in mind that there are dozens of parks all over New Delhi and Lodi Park is only one of them. Of course people don\u2019t come here just for the park.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070036.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2801\" title=\"Walking towards Lodi Park\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070036.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"310\" height=\"550\" \/><\/a>What makes it stand out is the existence of centuries old buildings. This ancient mosque here was built as a gateway during the period of <strong>Lodi Dynasty <\/strong>\u2013 whatever dynasty that was. There are too many of them I can\u2019t even tell which and which. LOL.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070058.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2804\" title=\"Ancient Mosque at Lodi Park\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070058.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"440\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070058.jpg 688w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070058-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px\" \/><\/a>The building might be small with a perimeter of only about 25m x 6m but the inscription and Arabesque stucco decoration on its walls mesmerized me with its intricacy and details.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070082.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2803\" title=\"beautiful stucco at lodi park\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070082.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"440\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070082.jpg 688w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070082-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px\" \/><\/a>Less than a hundred yards away from the mosque is another old building which I later found out was a tomb monument. Also built in the Lodi era, the building looks more like a combination of Hindu and Islamic architecture.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070090.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2806\" title=\"Ancient Tomb at Lodi Park\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070090.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"440\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070090.jpg 688w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070090-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px\" \/><\/a>It\u2019s been centuries since it was built so it came as no surprise that it has now weathered a lot. The tombs are still there but most of the pavement has peeled off leaving only rubles and stones that was probably what it was made of once.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070102.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2807\" title=\"Tombs at Lodi Park 2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070102.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"440\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070102.jpg 688w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070102-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px\" \/><\/a>Saying good bye to the Lodi Park, we returned to the hustle and bustle of the Delhi roads towards our next destination. I might have heard about it a lot but it wasn\u2019t the same when I saw it in real. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070104.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2808\" title=\"Child beggars in Delhi\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070104.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"440\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070104.jpg 688w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070104-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px\" \/><\/a>There are hundreds if not thousands of children risking their life in danger by begging on the busy roads of Delhi every day. Some of them would do gymnast stunts, sometimes somersaulting in the middle of the road and if they were lucky some of the passing motorists would think that they deserve some pennies.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070031.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2842\" title=\"The Kid gymnasts in Delhi\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070031.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"248\" height=\"440\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With so many of them all over Delhi, I couldn\u2019t help but thinking what does the future hold for them. I\u2019ve always been bad in saying no to beggars \u2013 and even more so when they are children so I was so glad that Audrey was there to say <em>\u2018Don\u2019t look! Don\u2019t look!\u2019<\/em> whenever my eyes began to take focus on them. LOL.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070105.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2809\" title=\"Kid begging at Delhi\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070105.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"321\" height=\"482\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070105.jpg 458w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070105-199x300.jpg 199w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 321px) 100vw, 321px\" \/><\/a>But seriously, India should start thinking about doing something for them, probably by cutting down on its military expenses and use the money to help the kids instead. With its own share of poverty, I don\u2019t think Pakistan would wage a war on India anytime soon. \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>INDIA GATE<\/strong> is such an imposing building. The building itself is not really something that you\u2019d drop your jaws looking at but the symbolism that it carries probably makes it one of the most iconic structures in India.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070113.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2835\" title=\"Visiting The India Gate \" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070113.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"440\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070113.jpg 688w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070113-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px\" \/><\/a>I can probably liken it with our <strong>Taman Tasik Titiwangsa<\/strong> in KL where people would come in droves \u2013 only in much bigger scale \u2013 and it doesn\u2019t seem to be a place that runs out of visitors all day long. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070126.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2812\" title=\"Looking up at The India Gate\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070126.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"440\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070126.jpg 688w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070126-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px\" \/><\/a>I have a lot to respect the mostly local visitors there for because they seem to be enjoying their time \u2018basking\u2019 under the scorching sun of Delhi.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070143.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2811\" title=\"The lake at India Gate\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070143.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"440\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070143.jpg 688w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070143-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px\" \/><\/a>Seriously, I could almost feel my hair burning even when I was only there for less than 15 minutes or so.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Next up was the<strong> RAJGHAT.<\/strong> Known for its eternal flame \u2013 it was the place where the body of <strong>Mahatma Ghandi <\/strong>was cremated. Being known as a humble leader, Mahatma Ghandi wouldn\u2019t have wanted to get cremated and charge people to visit his ashes. The management seemed to have \u2018seen\u2019 it and there was no admission fee to Rajghat.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070150.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2813\" title=\"Walking torwards Rajaghat\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"440\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070150.jpg 688w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070150-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px\" \/><\/a>Still they can always find a way or two to get something out of the visitors without openly declaring it a charge. They\u2019d ask you to take your shoes off and put them in one of those stupid boxes and charge you for it. The Tuk Tuk driver had been trying to get us into visiting some textile shop but of course we\u2019d say no to it every time. When he became so insistent, we decided to give him a chance \u2013 once and for all. Besides, we really needed a break away from the scorching sun. July is certainly a frying season in New Delhi.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070168.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2818\" title=\"Visiting a textile shop in Delhi\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070168.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"321\" height=\"482\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070168.jpg 458w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070168-199x300.jpg 199w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 321px) 100vw, 321px\" \/><\/a>Of course we didn\u2019t want to stay at the textile shop more than necessary. I was pretty sure our presence alone would grant the tuk tuk driver the commission that he desperately wanted so we went out as quickly as we came in.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070169.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2819\" title=\"Walking out of textile shop in Delhi\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"321\" height=\"482\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070169.jpg 458w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070169-199x300.jpg 199w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 321px) 100vw, 321px\" \/><\/a>Then what happened next was quite unexpected \u2013 although it didn\u2019t come as a surprise considering the <em>not-so-good<\/em> reputation of Tuk Tuk drivers in New Delhi. Just when the Tuk Tuk was about to reach the entrance gate to The Red Fort, the Tuk Tuk suddenly shuddered to a stop \u2013 <em>konon kononya lah<\/em>. He tried to start it over and over again but it wouldn\u2019t go off. He looked at us and shook his head in what appeared to be a mix of disbelief and apologetic.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070170.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2820\" title=\"Tuk Tuk Breaking down\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070170.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"440\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070170.jpg 688w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070170-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px\" \/><\/a>He told us he needed to send his Tuk Tuk to a workshop immediately and that he couldn\u2019t continue bringing us and that he was sorry bla bla bla. He offered a discount of 100 rupees so we only paid of 700 rupees out of the agreed 800 rupees. Of course we knew for sure that his Tuk Tuk was OK and that he wanted to disengage from us as quickly as possible \u2013 probably because he had already counted everything including the commission he received from the textile shop and he\u2019d get more profit dumping us now than use more of his fuel to send us back to the hotel later. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070171.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2821\" title=\"Broke down Tuk Tuk?\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070171.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"293\" height=\"440\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070171.jpg 458w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070171-199x300.jpg 199w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 293px) 100vw, 293px\" \/><\/a>Since we had basically covered just about every place that we wanted to go to that day, we just gave him a shrug and agreed to pay him 700 rupees. Quite expectedly, he waited until we had walked further away and then off <em><\/em>he went, <em>dashing<\/em> back into the traffic \u2013 probably to go back to his hungry children or something. LOL. It wouldn\u2019t be long before five so we didn\u2019t want to get into any of those lines only to be shooed away half way through our tour later. We decided to spare it for another visit \u2013 probably on our last day in New Delhi.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070174.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2823\" title=\"Long line of people at Red Fort Delhi\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070174.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"440\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070174.jpg 688w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070174-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px\" \/><\/a>Another place listed under the major attractions of New Delhi is the<strong> Jama Masjid Delhi.<\/strong> Located within a walking distance from the Red Fort and close to the ever bustling <strong>Chandni Chowk<\/strong>, you might be choked at the sight of crowds and people and all the vibes and characters that they carry with them.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070179.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2824\" title=\"Bustling streets to Jama Masjid Delhi\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070179.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"440\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070179.jpg 688w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070179-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px\" \/><\/a>There were certainly a lot of activities going on and some of them were worth stopping to watch for.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070187.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2825\" title=\"Crowds watching wrestling in Delhi\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070187.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"440\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070187.jpg 688w, https:\/\/www.jipp-world.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/P1070187-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px\" \/><\/a>This wrestling here was obviously meant for male audience and as much as I wanted to keep watching, I had to bring Audrey away before the audience shifted their attention to her rather than the wrestling. We had at least a few more places to go within one and a half days that we have left in India \u2013 only then we could get a stamp of \u201cINDIA : MISSION ACCOMPLISHED\u201d.
